TEDxYouth@WISS Voice Quilt
Cuddle up with ideas worth spreading! During WISS’s week-long celebration of visual arts, students, teachers, and other WISS community members worked together to create a collaborative TEDxYouth@WISS Voice Quilt. During lunch breaks, participants gathered in a dedicated spot in front of the cafeteria. Each received a 12cm square piece of canvas, a bucket of markers, and some time to think. Quilters were charged with answering the question “What is the World Waiting for?” Using images, the written word, and their own thinking, quilters represented their own ideas about what could make the world a better place. The breadth and variety of responses was astounding! From smiley faces to messages of peace, the gamut of potential world-enriching notions was explored.
The quilt is now being assembled and will be displayed as a one-of-a-kind idea tapestry during TEDxYouth@WISS.
We’ll spread the quilt! You spread the word! These ideas are worth spreading!
